Take 40,50,66 even, murder mystery books by different authors written at different times.

You wanna find a central theme eh? Let me think! That's it! Got it.

Ooh I like that galaxie. And that should work for murder mystery books written over sever hundred years.

Im going to think on this one.

Bullshit sells if it presented as an advantageous virtue.

—An author who wants to be read, even a harsh judgement, would play to this worldview of importance and keep his message consistent with the Torah. i.e. Their view of God, the history of man, there view of death and of their being the top Kingdom of the World.

An author who wants to be read would just pump sunshine and excitement.

    The bible doesn't do that.

It tells us the good and the bad.

It tells us the stuff we don't want to hear.

Any author writing a contemporary book would likely flop if he did the same.

I disagree. Look at political authors who openly criticize the American people of today while strongly

supporting there viewpoint of what the founding fathers meant when writing the constitution. It will

rally the people who agree with the message. the same holds true with the bible.

When Ian Fleming died, other authors were brought in to write the character of James Bond. New novels had a a kind of canon or basis on which new situations were built. Authenticity was judged by the standard of Ian Flemings previous writings.

The Bible is always looking backward upon itself. What was previously told is the measure of what will yet be told.

Stories take on a similarity because the new writers read the old stories.

Tropes give an artificial unity to a group of things. The use of the numbers 12, 3 and 7, for instance.

The BOOK OF MORMON is a great historical example of how this is done.

Is the Book of Mormon inspired?

The writings in the bible were inspired to identify a separate localized group of people (god's chosen people)

and to create recognition and relevance to their own particular select god, ( YHWH the Almighty one, the most powerful and creator of all things)

which at the same time created relative meaning and understanding about themselves and the world in which they lived.

    .

When you think about it much of ancient mythology was created upon that similar premise and intent.

No theme can be read out of the text. It can only be forced into the text in retrospect.

    Terry,

i really like the example you provided with Ian Flemming. I'm sure there were many other writings of the period that were not preserved because they did not harmonize with there particular theology or motives.

Same thing happened with the New Testament when deciding what books to cannonize and which ones to leave out.

exactly what hat I see as well. It helped them maintain there worldview. Even the so allied judgements were to take them back to their roots and core beliefs.

    Crofty

and it seems that "inspired" scripture was not specific enough because as many interpretations can be had by an equal amount of readers. But once their convinced it's hard to have a logical conversation.

Probably the central theme is that God is a killer of humans. He's jealous and cruel in the OT. He doesn't just kill bad people but innocent babies, children, women, men old people who have lived an honest life. He thinks keeping slaves is ok....... Jesus is his father's son.......slavery is ok. Paul was concerned that slaves needed to be obedient to their masters.

God is a world killer and now he and his psycho son are working up a lather to kill billions of innocents.......... if you believe in Armageddon.

Thankfully the bible is nothing more then another delusional book written by people who invented their gods.

So a bunch of ancient authors invented and cumulatively wrote a book that influences over a billion peoples lives today?

Those ancient authors must have really wanted to be read!

Some of them were just fishermen or sheep herders.

They must have done something right!

If they were not divinely inspired then they must have been genius!

No other authors have ever come close to their success.

Their combined genius and book continues to eclipse all and any other writer that lives or has lived.

But hey, not only that, everything they said would happen, is really happening!
