According to the letter (link below) out of 705 Kingdom Halls in Spain, 295 are being disposed of.
If someone can translate German/Spanish, it would throw some light on the specifics.

Of 705 KH's currently, 295 will be "abandoned", they will build 214 New KH's with a total of 261 auditoriums, 156 will be complete remodels.

That's what thier saying but we know what's really going to happen, sell and not rebuild.

no they are not sold off.
295 kindom halls will vacated but keep in mind that a lot of places are RENTED there. After vacating the 295 old ones, they are going to build 214 new Halls with a combined total of 261 auditoriums. Furthermore 156 Kingdom Halls get a complete makeover over the next 5 years.

It is a money making scheme. Build new halls with the donations of the followers, along with their free labour, to build equity for the Watchtower.

JWFacts is right, of course. Rented halls were just a cash drain, so let's build brand new halls which the WTS owns (thanks to all the volunteered labor). The real estate portfolio of the bOrg keeps on increasing, while the pockets of the bOrgians keep on getting emptied.
Ought to be a law against it...
