Dear Brothers,
As informed en the letter dated 24th January 2014, the governing body has approved a new method to satisfy the global need for Kingdom Halls. As part of this program, a complete survey of the state of each kingdom has has been completed and of the needs of the congregations en our territory. A result of this survey, a plan of action (work) has been put forward for the coming years that involves the construction of new Kingdom halls, the renovation of those that are build and the closure of some that for various reasons are no longer adequate.
The general details obtained in this survey permit us to give an idea of the scale of work to be carried out. Of the 705 meeting places used by the congregations, 295 will need to be abandoned. In their place, 214 Kingdom halls will be constructed with a total of 261 auditoriums. Further, in only the next 5 years, 156 halls will be completely renovated.
Obviously, this project will affect a great number of congregations in the territory. Because of this, we are counting on the full cooperation of all congregations to support this extensive construction project. In what ways can that be done?
In the first place, we encourage you to manifest the same spirit of generosity as you have up to now. Most congregations have donated the funds that were saved for constructions projects, an attitude that clearly demonstrates confidence in Jehovah and his organization (2 Cor 8:14). We express heartfelt gratitude for your cooperation
Display confidence and support the gains that the decisions in relation to the kingdom halls. For example, the closure of a kingdom hall can sometimes cause inconvenience to the the congregations that use it It’s possible that you will need to move to a different location or district, in the case of population centers with more than one congegation to attend meetings. It’s possible that to benefit from the existing halls, congregations will be joined. These another changes can affect our spiritual routine and it’s possible that it will require personal sacrifices. Despite this, meditate on the benefits that this project with your support will benefit all the congregations, and the good benefits it will bring in the territory, allowing a good spirit to be maintained with out heartfelt support.
Finally, the collaboration of 100’s of volunteers will be needed to complete the construction work. Do you have skills or related experience in constructions, building maintenance, real estate or other related field? If so, you could offer to work along if your personal and family circumstances permit. For this, you can ask the body of elders for a form “Volunteer Questionnaire for Design and construction, that will soon be distributed to congregations. Once filled in, you can give it to the elders in your congregation. This form substitutes the one previously used to work with the RBC. On the other hand, if your circumstances allow you to work full time, for a period of between 2 weeks and 3 months, you can ask the elders for form A-27. If you can’t serve as a volunteer in either facet, when your congregation participates in a project or renovation you have the opportunity to work as a volunteer and support the plans that your hall has to to provide hospitality for the brothers that are completing the work.
We pray, dear brother that Jehovah continues to bless our new global constructions program providing Modest and dignified kingdom halls for reflecting our worship and allowing for the expansion of divine education (Psalms 127:1) We take this occasion to send our greetings and christian love
