You couldn't be more off the mark if you tried. Gregory was an arrogant punk who got his lunch handed to him by Bush. The protests really were pretty insignificant. Germans will protest anything. They have a very vocal liberal minority that gets out for greenpeace and all other leftist causes.

Bush is going to be recorded as one of the strongest Presidents the US has ever had. God forbid Al Gore should be elected President of the PTA much less the US.

Finally, to call ANY US president either or Moron or idiot is just plain stupid. You don't get in the Position of running the most powerful country in the world by being dumb.

Seems I'll have to clarify. It seems to me that Bush would be a cool guy to have a beer with while having a BBQ. You don't have to be a know it all to be president but you have to have a certain amount of decorum.
You don't get in the Position of running the most powerful country in the world by being dumb.

To me Reagan and Clinton were the best liars I have ever seen. Reagan was the absolute best liar because he made you feel good about yourself while he was lying to your face. Clinton was good at first but really fell off towards the end there.
I'm very happy with Bush's advisors and all of their press people as well because I think most reporters are far more arrogant than the people they cover.
As far as party lines. I'm about in the middle. There are some republicans I like and some democrats I like. I think if anyone blindly follows a party they may as well be a JW where free thought is outlawed. Will Bush be recorded as the strongest pres. ever? Who knows. I do know he needs some coaching on foreign affairs.

Each individual likes who they like. Personally, I don't care for Bush. I don't care for Gore either. I do however feel that Gore has a bad reputaion because of the things Clinton did while in office and don't feel it is fare to judge on those grounds.

One thing to remember is that no matter who becomes the President. They all eventually f*** up in one way or another. It's all really a power trip.

Perry, I'm from Texas too, and I grew up with people just like that too..I guess I would differ with you in that I don't think they are amusing at all...a redneck will always be a redneck! All that crap about compassionate conservatism. That's why Texas has executed more death row inmates than any other state this year (Thanks to his buddy Rick Perry) and the previous 2 years while Governor.....what a load of shit!! More like compassionate corporatism. I'm sure Bush and Dick have been in bed with greater whores than Enron. Too chicken to testify though! It would be nice to have a president with strong elocution skills (its nuclear not nucular), and a diverse vocabulary to say the least. He could have used some speaking tips from former Pres Ronnie, well before Ronnie forgot his own name anyway. He got lucky being the pres during 9/11...lots of attention to foriegn policy and not the domestic agenda. Which he is clearly lacking... except drilling in our largest national park. BTW, the Bush family is from Maine...not Texas!!!
