When our elder and ms body gets a kick up the pants from the circuit overseer to visit the inactive in the cong, I (still being an MS) volunteer to take a few names.
I choose the ones in the territory that I KNOW DO NOT want to be bothered.
Then I just DON'T visit them!
When asked by the Elders "how I went" I say..."all taken care of, they are doing well"
Surprisingly as speaking on behalf of myself and others that I know. I have yet to have one elders visit after a year and a half ago of not attending. I personally know of a PO of a cong who walked and only 3 could be bothered to contact him. I think the idea of been hounded and hounded is a myth. Never has such lack of concern been do welcomed. Do it right and you will be surprised how quickly they will forget.
