cognac, I'm glad you are wiling to put your children first...you may have stopped attending or "preaching" but according to WTS rules you aren't out until 1) you DA yourself, 2) they DF you, 3) or you die.w
We have been inactive for 12 years now and celebrate Christmas, Halloween, birthdays, not easter but I eat the candy, 4th of July fireworks. But my husband is just as out as I am. The story can be different when there is a spouse that is still "believing."
I don't have any family or friends in the WTS that matter to me.
The pictures are great. My husband gets dressed up each year when he hands out candy; he's such a kid himself.

The doctrine put forward concerning Halloween by the WTS. is just another doctine born in ignorance.
Yes Halloween was once a pagan tradition centuries ago but its not today its a tradition of kids having fun and perhaps mocking spirituality
as something make believe which it is.
Are people who let their kids dress up and go trick or treating Pagans ? no of couse not.
One way or another ancient traditions are entwined in are every day lives, such the days of the week or the months of the year
which are rooted from paganism but does that mean that we are supporting the practice of paganism ?

If people were exacting like the (druids) did centuries ago such all family members dressing up in celebratory attire
around a huge bon fire chanting to spirits and possibly sacrificing people as they did back then, that would be something quite
different to be sure.

This inaccurate assertion by the WTS leaders is redundant because its established from their own ignorance and is just another
forwarding expression of their self perceived and assuming power and control.
A semblance of power and control which they derived from lying and presenting misinformation toward the public.
Thats a Truth thats very important to remember concerning the JWS/WTS. Corporation.
