The organization does hypocrisy really, really well. It surrounds and embues the Witnesses' outlook, colors and distorts their view. It is everywhere in the organization, in subtle and not so subtle ways. Little wonder the more they are surrounded by it, the less the Witnesses see it.

But I certainly cant stand being around witnesses or the org!-Stuck

If your finding it difficult being around JWs just keep reminding yourself it's not their fault, they are trapped in a cult. There are two types of JWs, liars and doormats. Sadly you are a liar at the moment because you stopped being a doormat. There are other liars in the cong too, those with all the privileges that bend all the rules to suit them, and the doormats who are obedient in all the rules and struggle this is the majority of JWs.

If you can't stand it that much you need to devise an exit plan.

Good for you stuck, glad you have a plan, it's always best to have a plan because then you feel in control. I had elders chasing me and calling to my home at inappropriate times, I felt bombarded, but then I took control. Kate xx

It's maddening to be in the stage you are in. Just read some of my posts where I spoke of blowing my head off. Now I feel sorry for dubs. They are brainwashed, deceived, lied to and treated like cogs in a machine.

They are deluded, they have no true friends as has been brought out. Why? They cannot be individuals, despite what the video says. You MUST drink the kool-aid. This requires that any dub who doubts must keep secrets. It's impossible to have a true friend if you must constantly deceive them to maintain the relationship. Your friends must ostracize you if you disagree with the WTBTS, what kind of friend is that??

What Data Dog said!! Also their definition of a true friend is the opposite of a good JW?? Is your shirt a little low cut? Skirt not past the knee? FOrgot to shave? Guess what? You will be gossiped about, and judged!!

Do you have doubts about 1914? 607? 1919? Blood transfusion doctrine? Child abuse policies? Either you keep these to yourself and not tell even your spouse or best friend, or else face the loss of their CONDITIONAL love and friendship, whether you are DF or no. Like DD said, thats no way to be a friend. THey MUST cut you off as a friend for having non approved THoughts!! How crazy is that! There are no friends as conditional or Judgemental or intolerant as JWs!! My wife is shunning her "best friend" right now because of a decision 3 MEN made! Pitiful.

    Reviving this thread...because guess what??!!!

This week's service meeting (17/nov /14) has a 10 minute part on this very topic, and requires the animation video to be played at the kingdom halls on the big projector screens!!

So get ready for "indoctrination and love bombing 2014"!

I predict that there will be two possible outcomes from all of this focus on "real friendships" this week:

    1) A big push of activity to revitalise the "weak friends amongst us"

    2) A big pulling away from the seemingly "weak" and "bad associates" within the congregations!

I actually reckon that number 2 will be the main result...witnesses will now feel justified to ignore ones like us even more, as they will determine in their own minds and hearts that we are not "good associates"!

    Bring on the critical judgmentalism......

I won't be able to make it to this weeks meeting, I'm going to miss all the talking about it after the meeting...all the gossip.

I wonder if I can incorporate the drawing from "wheelwithinwheel" as above mid way through the presentation??

The most judgemental of my relatives are JWs. I have been enjoying getting out of the Truth at 17, going to college, saving money, having a spouse and kids . . . for the past 40 years. I am upper middle class. They are livid. Snide comments to me and to my relatives and close friends. One non-JW relative told the JW relative that I bought a new truck. The sh** hit the fan. Instead of being happy for me, it was pure jealousy in tone. 'How much did Skeeter pay for it?' 'Why did Skeeter buy that model?'. I cut tthem off for my own sanity becuase they became sooooo damn judgemental. The truck was the last straw.
