I've seen at least 2 men recently appointed as elders that were intentionally never approved when I was on the BOE. The qualifications are evidently lower. Same for public speakers.

I was baptised in 1990, and at that time there were elders around that you could safely have indepth discussions with.
Those guys don't exist anymore. They are too frightened to voice anything that isn't "in the script", lest they
lose their position. They are a bunch of soulless drones-especially the younger ones.
But this is exatly what Big Mother wants- brain dead, obedient, cannon fodder.
