FYI - Erica told this account to many friends and family long before the interview. There were no words being "put in her mouth." She told the details of the meeting exactly the same in those instances as she did in the interview. Please do not state opinions as fact when speaking of such a sensitive matter.

Do you two really believe that your clergy (elders) should report child molesters to the police only if it is required by state law? And so you think that it is the responsibility of non-Witnesses to enact legislation to require the Witness clergy to report these abuses to the proper law enforcement agencies? What kind of religion do you belong to? My Church has a no tolerance policy regarding crimes against children. Molesters are reported to the police regardless of whether the state requires it or not. Your church should do the same.
Matrix, you and Non, if you are really on the side of the children, should start a petition drive in your local churches (Kingdom Halls) to force the Witness Vatican (Bethel) to change their harmful policies. What your church really needs is a general convention with delegates representing both the Witness clergy and lay people to discuss and change policy. I hope that these suggestions have been helpful.

Your inability to provide evidence that Jehovah is guiding the WTS as you claim only shows the spiritual bankruptcy of your religion - But, I suppose that it is self-evident that a religion that once claimed that getting smallpox was better than having a vaccination has God's guiding hand behind it.

Barbara Anderson DID have access to those files. Remember, she was a big researcher, and as others here have pointed out, she did most of the work on the Proclaimers book. Now answer my post
