I think we can get a better conceptual picture of who/what this community of Ex-J-dubs is all about by
seeing where the largest fistfights and rasslin' matches spring up :)
The friction between 'spiritual' people and 'secularized' is quite remarkable.

I don't post a lot since I only ever visit the site on my iPhone, but my first post / thread was the longest. 4 pages. It was actually thrilling for me to be honest about myself, to complete strangers, and have them be more accepting and supportive that I'm afraid my family will ever be. This site has kept me sane.

watchtower / medical Elders Will Be Notified & WILL FIND YOU in the Hospital 234 9 years ago Aude_Sapere 8 months ago Anony Mous 63 My longest-running Topic was under my original account.
It was to highlight the importance of removing the JW designation from your hospital admittance records. I got a surprise visit and inquiry about my JW loyalty status in front of a complete stranger soon after I was moved from spending a few days in CCU.

59 Pages and I didn't even remember writing it!
What Terry says is true though. While imo, not my most memorable topic, it did have the two crucial elements Terry mentioned
1. Ask people their opinion
2. Challenge a deeply valued belief. ( I guess in this case, the belief is that grandparents should not show favoritism and be fair to all the grandchildren)
(Apparently many grandparents play favorites and many parents and children have felt hurt by such behaviour. Perhaps it brings back bad memories for many of ther own parents perceived or actuall favoritism to a sibling and the deep hurt that was felt at the time).

Ha ha on me!
I just went back to read the topic and it was 59 posts not 59 pages!
Oh well, it was still my longest! And I'm thinking of resurrecting it because as some of the posters to the original topic predicted, they are doing it again!
This time to me!

Not sure if this is my longest, but at 81 pages it probably is :
http://www.jehovahs-witness.net/watchtower/bible/220775/1/Is-there-one-Bible-Prophecy
It asks for one genuine Bible prediction that came fully true. Not one was produced in 81 pages. Nuff said.
