    @ Datadog.

What do they earn by having "followers"? The best food???? Eating corn with your meal for weeks because this was donated, here in Europe that's food for pigs. City living, disgusting NY, unhealthy, no trees no nature, every night a 100 different garbidge-trucks through your street. Health insurance...well I never lived without it. I wonder if you ever worked at Bethel, the routine is killing, imagine for 75+ people .Don't understand me wrong I left the organization and don't agree with their teachings and practics, but the posts about their wealth and cars and special life are rubbish, from people who never knew one member of the GB, or have been in Brooklyn.

Fulano - what do you mean by "disgusting NY" ??

I mean, Datadog mention it like an advantage living in NY. Imo, it is a noisy, concrete city, No nature etc. I came out of a tropical missionary assignment and just could not adjust to a life in NY.

Sounds like you didn't get around to seeing a lot of NYC, there's plenty of "nature" in the other boroughs besides Manhattan. But if you were in tropical surroundings then I can unerstand your view of the city.

Yes I did Shirley, on saturdays, long walks, a habit from missionary-work, walking many miles. But frankly I was only impressed by the low prices of shops. The parks weren't that impressive, I liked the zoo though.. I am just not a city guy, so I see it as a disadvantage. I liked Patterson 10 times better, especialky in autumn.

Corn is food for pigs.... Tell that to people who are starving.

The point is that the GB lack nothing. They never have to worry about any of life's needs. I know the schedule is regimented, that's because they are a bunch of delusional control freaks, and Corporations must be structured.

I don't feel sorry for them at all. I work my ass off to support my family. If I needed help from the GB, they wouldn't send a dime of their BILLIONS. Even so, they will bitch and beg for money while preaching a lifestyle that keeps JWS in one of the lowest earning brackets of all religions.

The GB have perks that most do not have. They fly where they want to be adored by millions. They even signed bibles for world leaders. They are on TV now. They are celebrities and JWs worship them. Celebrities can have grueling schedules at times, it goes with the territory. AGAIN, I don't feel sorry for them. They lack nothing. They live a sheltered life surrounded by yes-men.

    Amen Data Dog. Spot on.

These men (including the CO's) love the brothers and sisters with the money. I have witnessed it for years. They know the Brothers who supply the nice homes, vacation homes, best booze and entertainment. They are so detached from what the normal everyday working men and women have to struggle through. They could care less if you have given your last dime, they will gladly take it. Who wouldn't love all the attention and perks. Check out some of the homes they have sold and purchased. I wonder who got to stay in those nice places? Hmmm. Signing Bibles...just wrong.

I notice a struggle for life in the comments, that's possible but that doesn't change the facts that it is hard work at Bethel. I hope you don't have to work that hard when your 75 plus old. The question of TS was their daily routine, I just gave my insight of my personal experience, that's all. Not why they want that kind of life. I live mine, hope to retire in five years at 60 and move to my home on the tropical island where I worked so hard as a missionary. C'est ca.

I lived in Brooklyn Heights and attended the meetings. There were GB members that attended the meetings. Back then they were really not the "rock stars" that you see in the current group. They went out in service. I went out in service once with Cary Barber. Although this was before he was part of the GB.
