Why does EU talk to us in the third person?
Anyway, the reason I am disrespectful of Jehovah's Witnesses is because they are responsible for me being slightly nuerotic and highly cynical. Not the rank and file JW's mind you, just the upper echelons of the Mothership. They are the brainwashers and mind controllers. They should have their scrotums nailed to a skate board and taken for a tour of the city.
$$$If mutual respect is something we all should strive for, wouldn't it help not to call people "apostates?" If someone from my church decided I didn't measure up, dissagreed or whatever and felt justified in calling me an "apostate" who would be the immature and weak one?$$$
The term apostate is not meant to be offensive. Jws genuinely think that those who deviate from the faith are apostates. But you do not see eu coming to this place calling peopel names.

Eu can understand you people being upset. But can't you just summon the internal resources to rise above it? Why not go see Dr larc or a cognitive psych to help you out? Watch Oprah and consult Dr Phil.
Look up the word "apostate" in the dictionary. The WT Society did not invent the word. The original Greek word simply means to "stand off."
Eu knows what apostasy means. From apostasia. wts did not invent word. but what makes you think the word does not apply to those who defect from the Christian faith? If the jws are the true christian religion, then to defect from that faith is to apostatize from christianity. the term then fits.

Lighten up, Eu. Its just us here. I personally think the language is rather funny. The witnesses have their own language. They insult other people by referring to them as "worldly" and "bad associates". We, apostates, just have a language of our own. Don't you think its rather colorful?

You are getting on my nerves. I defended you when you came here to discuss classical conditioning. You started your discussion "as if" you knew something new, exciting and revealing. It became pretty clear to me, that you were just throwing terms around and really did't know what you were talking about.
Since then, your written expression has deteriorated, much like several other JW apologists lately. So, don't bring me into it as Dr. Larc, and cognitive psychology. Since you and I have only discussed the implications of classical conditioning versus operant conditioning, then cognitive psychology is something that has nothing to do with our dialogue. Now, if you want to discuss cognitive psychology, which you said you don't favor, I would be happy to do so.

You get a lot of mileage out of one term, classical conditioning, but I don't really think you know too much. I really can't find much content, since your first "showy display."
