There is a reason the Society wanted you to send a copy of your Will to them,
I don't remember reading that but regardless it wouldn't make a bit of difference how many copies the WTS had the date on the will it what will prevail. They can have 100 copies of an OUTDATED will and it will still be nothing but an OUTDATED will as long as there is a NEW will to over-ride it.
All you need to do is make anothe will and squash the old one. The old one then becomes toilet paper.

OF COURSE IT WILL TAKE HER MONEY!! Even if she changes her will, they will likely take it. It has ripped off other old people.

Plumcrazy!
A boffin is a "bigdome", a "brain", an expert in Watchtower dogma.
Joyce is amazed at the degree of response shes getting.
ah. ok.
well I may not qualify for that either but at least my education in will's and legal documents came in handy for something.

Hey Refiners Fire, you miserable troll hunter you!How you do`in Bud!(LOL)RF,the lady has to change her will.No doubt about it!Help her along that path.It should go to her grandchildren or some other family member.Your a good man,you know what to do,deep in your heart. This will work out for the best, she has you for a friend...OUTLAW
here's what happens,....... the widow dies, so the autorities take her away,......... then they call next of kin......... well, they also call the local elders, to find out about things, and the local elders, show them the will. ........ the "will" sent to the headquarters, and they are appointed to handle everything........ and the house and money is theirs........ ok, so they go through her belongings, and find a new will.......hmmmmm.....
the P.O. say's,,,,,,,,, better get rid of that one, it will just confuse things.
UMMMM...Then again, they may reinstate her *quickly* if they get wind she's going to change her will.
Perchance may I ask what they would disfellowship an *elderly* lady for?!?!?
When she changes her will make sure that EVERY ORGANIZATION the WBTS hides under is removed or specifically named *not* to receive anything.
I'm no boffin, but let's just say she died tomorrow. Her attorney or other family members may argue that the WBTS should not receive any money because they've kicked her out. WT Legal will send someone in to say, "Oh *WE* didn't kick her out. That was the Christian Congregation of Jehovah's Witnesses. She is still a member in good standing with us."
Get it?
I'm still laughing that you had to ask an expert on such matters when a dumb-ass like me could've told ya to change the will. Let the experts [8>] use their time wisely.
Joyce, at least you are free now. Don't confuse the WBTS with God. Most likely you are still in His good graces, and if not, prayers of forgiveness through Jesus Christ your Redeemer can change all that.
Of course, some of us choose to believe there is no Sky=Puppet, and *THAT* is something you may wish to consult the experts on.

(Welcome, Joyce)
Hi Joyce
Just to add my 2 cents worth...the Society does not need the money. In spite of what your beliefs are regarding the WT Society...you should give serious consideration to changing the terms of your Will. It would serve no purpose to have your estate left to the Society if they do not 'need' the money...don't you agree??
I might suggest the 'Lost Dog's Home' or another charitable organisation. Have you ever considered leaving your estate to a support group for ex-JW's?
All the best.
Beck
Does the WTS sort through money they receive from Contribution Boxes™ and somehow figure out which part came from DF'd people so they can send it back to them? Of course not.
As a matter of fact, WHEN this lady CHANGES her Will, it would also be a good idea for her to send a letter to the WTS stating that they have been DFd from her Will.
Better yet, Joyce, spend as much as you can before you kick off. Go on a fabulous holiday, or donate to cancer research or the Red Cross. You likely had been hoping to enjoy yourself in Paradise on Earth™ just like many of us did, and were saving every hard earned nickel for the WTS. You've given the WTS 40 years of YOUR LIFE that you can never get back. You don't owe them anything.
Love, Scully
