  No, Viviane is not saying that. Your're not reasoning properly. Think about this:

  People Magazine is a popular periodical. People Magazine featured a poorly written Science article that could not be trusted. Therefore, all popular periodicals feature poorly written Science articles that cannot be trusted.

  If you understand the above, then you have your answer. If you do not, I suggest getting a copy of " Introduction to Logic ".

  Scientists don't work for people magazine. The source of the information may not be the problem. Just like the WTBTS, is the interpreter and editor who are the problem. Magazines have agendas too. This often happens a lot with news regarding nutrition for example. The scientists say something and present all of the assumptions they made in the study. The magazines throw the assumptions away and present the results as facts. Is nothing but another form of religion to grasp to one and only one source of information. If a particular scientific subject is dear to you, research all sides of the story.

  Oh yeah, if you could find a person who claims to be the "One True Scientist" in all of human history, and this person will kill anyone who disagrees with their current theories and is NEVER wrong; then yes, you could say the WTBTS/organized Xianity are just like a Scientist.

  BTW, the WTBTS has written an Awake article in which they claim that their nu-light process is just like Science. The article is ridiculous and easily debunked.

  Is the Governing Body's methods and practices all that much different from the way scientists work

  I dont think so quite the opposite actually, the GB and the WTS operates in similar fashion to the way political endeavors are socially conducted, in that there is an agenda to seek out people that would support your individually expressed opinions and ideologies and to influence these people to work toward to further support those ideologies themselves.

  Science on the other hand is open is to contravening evaluation on expressed ideas, information and conclusions.

  Science and religion are on structured upon uniquely different and separate conceptual ideologies.
