Weekend with ISP and Family

Well, we just got back from spending yesterday evening and most of today with ISP, Mrs. ISP, and the two little ISPs. It was a great time, and we were sooooooo sad to see them go! For British folks, they're not too bad (er, that was a joke).

The number of folks from this board that I've met is steadily growing, and I've yet to suffer many disappointments. ISP and family were very kind and generous people, with absolutely adorable children! I found them very easy to talk to, and feel as if I've made new friends. I've also...drumroll please...(OUTNFREE, pay attention!)..been invited to the UK by my new found British mates! Who knows? Maybe one day I'll get there.

Anyway, I just wanted to share a little bit about my weekend with everyone here. Now I have to go see if I can get Delaney to stop saying "bathing costume" in a funky British accent....

I think one of the best parts of the weekend was watching how quickly our daughters hit it off...in just minutes of meeting each other, they were walking arm in arm together, as if they had been friends all their lives...and this morning, none of that nonsense about rushing off to the meeting LOLOL...we let the kids be NORMAL kids and swim all day!

Ahhh, it was a great weekend and seriously, the ISPs may regret the invitation extended to me...as I may just take them up on it!

I'm glad that you, your family and your friends had fun.

BTW, if you have the opportunity to travel to UK, go for it. I was in London last year. To me, it was a great place to visit. You and your family will enjoy it. Since you know the ISP's, I guess you can stay at their place. Now one thing for certain is due to the money exchange rate, I recommend you save up beaucoup de money before planning on your trip to UK. However, don't let that spoil your fun. Also, one recommendation when traveling to England: you gotta try the Indian food over there, they have the best Indian cuisine in the world, even better than in India.

Anyways, Glad that you all had a great fun time.

I think it's awesome that you got to meet each other. I think it's neat to meet anyone from the board. Like you, I've never been disappointed either. It's actually been the opposite - I'm typically surprised at how well we all get along. For instance last night at the Dallas Apostofest, SixofNine and Teejay even had a nice conversation. LOL! I think meeting in person gives you a t otally different perspective on one's online personality. I know when I first joined COMF scared me a little. But now that I've met him in person, he's one of my favorite people on this board. We don't have the same viewpoints on religion/spirituality, but meeting in person allows a mutual respect that mere posting does not

I'm glad you had such a good experience with the ISPs. Perhaps if you're in Dallas in August, you can stop by the next Dallas Apostofest?

Indian food is the most eaten dish in Britain and we have the largest curry kitchen / factory in the world! It is nice ...

If you do come over then I hope you'll pop in and see us or we can go to the pub for lunch.

Simon, you MUST know that there's no WAY I would miss an opportunity to meet you, Ang and the boys! That would definitely top my "to do" list!! However, I really don't think there's much chance of my making it across the pond any time soon but believe me, if there's any possibility of it, I'll be on a plane and you and Ang will be saying: "WHY did we invite her to meet us?!" LOL

Seriously, we didn't get to stay today and spend time with them, but we all had dinner together last night and sat out by the pool afterwards to watch the kids swim and let us chat on forever.

ISP and Mrs. ISP are beautiful people...they both looked much younger than they said they were...is there something about the British climate that is good for your skin or something? Let me in on the secret please!

I love these opportunities to meet others. So much that we have in common...yet such varied backgrounds. Anyone else coming to Florida, let us know...we will put forth extra effort to come and meet you.
