Would not a carefully conducted VSI(victim sensitive interview)eliminate the need for the wife's testimony in this case? Especially a videotaped one. Couldn't prosecutors then go forward without her, providing this evidence proves credible? What about the children? Sorry kids, deal with it. The child always loses. Law enforcement agencies and the ABA support the videotaping of interviews. I know much depends on the age of the child-average age of child in these cases only 8 years old. Make sure the interviews are conducted correctly and in cooperation with child welfare, prosecutors,law enforcement and child psych.professionals. I think this would be an excellent means of separating fact from fiction in these cases and aid in either prosecution or acquittal.
