    Moe,

Thanks so much for posting these! It really got me thinking about how little I think (?!) about the past and the Mayans in particular. We (or maybe it's just me!) get so caught up in the history of Europe and the Middle East, we forget about the wonderful parallel civilizations on the other side of the world.

@invisible - The book sounds great. I think I'll try and find it so I can learn a little more about the Mayans.

Oh, by the way, if my dream is a "special" dream I remember every detail like a real life memory. I remember one dream I had as a 4 year old little girl - even remember the hat I was wearing and stuff!!! I have had other dreams as a child, many of which involved rain forests, and sometimes scary water that turns out to be OK and lots of trees, strangely enough. Looking back on some of my dreams for years and years ago, there is still SO MUCH detail I remember about them. I was always under the impression everybody dreams this way - in true to life detail, but now I am realizing this is not the case...

I am a hard core pagan myself, as many of you know and I do believe in reincarnation...

    Kisses,

Why do these kinds of things only happen to other people?

I've never had any unusual dreams, visions or anything of that sort in my life.

The only time I've ever had any kind of remotely similar dream is when I've fallen asleep while watching the discovery channel.

This is quite fascinating. Thanks for sharing. Most of my dreams are interesting, but very seldom seem to be of any great import, although I have had several that repeat--one especially of a large house that seems quite familiar.

    Moe:
I have a great interest in dreams. This is what I have noticed in my own studies of dreams. We do a lot of what I call 'recreational dreaming". That is the stuff where things get odd and you know it is not realistic. Then there are prophetic dreams. They tend to be quite realistic. There is also astral travel. That will appear like a dream only there is nothing strange going on. It is like it is real. Like viewing a movie. Astral travel can often be verified like you have done. It sounds like your life has some spirit direction going on and you are being lead in a particular direction. Pay attention to small things. There is more than just dreams happening.

Oh, trust me, I am well aware... And thanks for the advice...

One of the main reason I posted this thread for the those who doubt things on a metaphysical level. Not sure if my dream was past life or astral travel, but I wonder if it was a bit of both, or perhaps, the way I see it, the Dolphin dream was astral travel and the Temple dream was past life... the way it seems. I suppose I won't completely grasp the meaning of it all until the lesson has been learned or the future happens have occurred.

Any other input as to the meaning?

    Hi MrMoe,

I don't attach any meaning to dreams, but sometimes I recall a dream and can't remember if it was a real experience or just a dream. Recently I was returning home from a trip to the mountains and drove through a town that reminded me of a dream I had about that town involving my wife's parents. My wife said they lived there many years ago.It still seems like a real experience. Strange feeling.

If psychic powers were real, they'd be verifiable under lab conditions.

It's at times like this I wonder whether humanity is going to survive. As a group, we are just not committed to reality.

*sigh* It's a crooked game, but it's the only game in town.

    If psychic powers were real

If psychic powers were real AND WE FULLY UNDERSTOOD THEM, we'd be able to verify them under lab conditions, I agree.

The problem is, that we understand very little of the universe around us still. I mean, as basic a question as 'Why can I reason?' can't be answered. What is it that makes a person self-aware?

To say we know little about this is an understatement. It is the height of arrogance to assume (especially in this day and age!) that we as humans know everything about anything, let alone about processes we have almost no way to measure and certainly not test.
