Gumby, is that really true? Wasn't there an update of info regarding resurrection of those in Sodom and Gomorrah disclosed in the Live Forever book some years back?

Actually, "new light" came out in a book in 1966 Life Everlasting--In Freedom of the Sons of God for the first time.

The Witnesses had long shared the belief that the Thousand Year Reign of Christ would follow after 6,000 years of human history. But when would 6,000 years of human existence end? The book Life EverlastingIn Freedom of the Sons of God, released at a series of district conventions held in 1966, pointed to 1975. Right at the convention, as the brothers examined the contents, the new book triggered much discussion about 1975. -

What actually happened was that the first edition (1982) had it one way and the second edition (1989) changed it to the opposite. This was done without any fanfare or notice of any sort. The way some JW's found out about it was when they were conducting a study with someone and the student's book said the opposite of what the conductor's said.
Offhand, I don't remember which way the flip-flop went, they've changed it back and forth repeatedly every few years.
