Vacation Time: You want me to use my personal vacation to attend the D.C.? Something i feel is a load of B.S.and waste of my precious time

  So you all know that my wife is still blinded....i am well awake and so are our son's. So she is expecting me to use my vacation time from work to attend the D.C. Waste 3 days of dribble from the cult.

  What of waste of time....yet i will do it to keep the peace. she will never wake up and it sucks.

  Depending on your job, you could always make up some excuse like, "My boss doesn't want me to miss that week...There's this big _________ going down, and I have to be there. No exceptions."

  Is she aware of how you feel? Not familiar with your background, but if she is, tell her fine, I'll drop you off each day, then go and see the sites of the city you are in or visit a nearby park for hiking, etc. Even go to a movie, museum, etc and take yourself out for a really great lunch! That's what I would do.

  Exactly what safe at home said. I drop off and bounce every day. Even if go back to the room and watch tv im not there being board and infurated at the crap

  she knows how i feel, if it wasn't for our kids having to go...i would seriously consider not going. i need to be there to protect my kids from the drivel. in between breaks and when were alone....i tell them what they hear at the assemblies is bunk.

  i am hoping she will hear something that will make her question, and the seed is planted.

  I got my Crapvention invite yesterday. It's in Kitchener, Ontario. Um, the gas money alone to drive there and back requires a small loan! If I was to stay for 3 days, there's food and lodging on top of that. Do these clowns not realize how much it costs to travel these days?

  Heaven that's where I used to go...there's a series of 3 or 4 week ends in a row. I'm glad that my only visit to the Aud is to play hockey with my non-JW buddies.

  You have the head of the house card to play if you want to. You can drop her off at the RC and take the boys with you to do something fun. Let them decide if they would rather sit all day in dress clothes listening to boring talks with mom or go to (fill in the blank with their favorite thing) with you.
