How about we select people from this forum as world leader for a day and see how they would change things - in thought and idea? Or leader of the month, and let it change so everyone gets a chance.
People forget the average Joe and Jane. While we may vote - I consider our class to be more in tune with reality than politicians.
Hi JanH: Yep, heard this about Hitler. Yet he was known to have female nymphomaniacs brought to him to perform for him so he could have self-induced orgasms. He was half Jew, making his "Final Solution" against Jews rather idiotic. His parents never married, which in those days, being a bastard child was a scandal all to itself ... had his parents married, his last name would have been Schicklegrubber (sp).
I am still trying to decide between Barry Goldwater, Ho Chi Minh, and Nikita Kruschev. Given the choices you mentioned, I would take Churchill any day over Roosevelt.

This is a common myth about Hitler, obviously created to discredit him (as if that was necessary) during WW2.
Stalin, who also was quite anti-semmitic in many ways, appears to have been of partially Jewish descent, however.
It is true that Hitler had a number of girlfriends. He did, however, never marry (perhaps he did to Eva Braun in the last days of their lives), .so I would not call them mistresses. I should perhaps also point out that Hitler was a vegetarian only at the end of his life, and for health reasons, not because he thought eating meat was morally wrong. He did, however, never drink alcohol as far as I know.
I recall reading somewhere that Hitler was half Jew. I've even wondered if maybe his hatred for the Jews may have stemmed from his hatred toward his father. If I ever run into any reliable reference to it, I'll forward it on.
I find it very hard to believe he never had a drop of alcohol. They sure did find plenty of it in his home after the war.
Number one (1) silly -- He used astrology!!! My kinda dude!!
As is well known, so did Hitler. The date for the attack on Russia was based on what an astrologer had suggested. Not a good idea, as selecting the date for Napoleon's ill fated attack on Russia in 1812 gave Stalin an early propaganda victory.
