This was expected. The supreme court is not going to get anywhere near the slippery slope of infringing religious liberties, which is as it should be. The best counter to snake-oil salesmen is an educated public and SilentLambs, Dateline and now Newsweek are helping accomplish that.
Thanks Puffs: You are right, it was likely that the Dubs would win. Yet, I like the ruling, because I prefer freedom of religion, even going to the doors ... and this is the one time that Dubs must expose themselves to the 'world' and listen without the control of the microphone. When they come to my door, I talk their ears off and they don't know where I am coming from ... what other controlling cult would ever send out its members to be confronted by outsiders? On in the land of Dub-dom.
I agree with both of you. These silly towns that try to stop them feed the "we are being persecuted" mentality. Those people in Ohio thinking they could stiffel religious freedom wasted a lot of money on court costs. When other religious groups file "friend of the court" briefs, in favor of the dubs, you know you are in a losing battle.
It was surprising to hear "The Jehovahs Witnessess...." on TV, as I was reading some posts here. Kinda creepy.
Just remember that free speech and such can also benefit us as well.
I say we start going door-to-door also.
They cant stop us. In fact we could go right behind them and undermind them.
Hmmmmmmmmmm. *getting an idea here*

"time to spice it ip a little bit more"
Careful, or you might undermine preliminary plans of UADNA.

"Just remember that free speech and such can also benefit us as well."
Well, it does. This is especially so if you started your own religion, although you could consider yourself a RELIGION OF ONE.
Oh, and your RELIGION can have IT's OWN TRIBUNAL's which would declare their TRIBUNAL invalid. Then, if you get into a religious dispute (catfight) with another religion, the SECULAR COURTS have already declared themselves OUT OF IT. Wow, let God settle it!!!
"Those people in Ohio thinking they could stiffel religious freedom wasted a lot of money on court costs." "These silly towns that try to stop them ..." didn't bother to check for about 60+ years worth of precedents. I was hauled in and spit out of the Police Station several times 40 years ago by smarter towns than those.
OK, they put a slightly new twist on it. Not good enough.
"I say we start going door-to-door also." There are more efficient methods.
Mustang
All that I write or utter, is protected by religious freedom under the 1st Amendment to the Constitution of the United States, as the "free exercise", as well as "freedom of speech" clauses.
There are more efficient methods.
Mustang - I was really only half joking but please email me with some of your ideas. Maybe we could collaborate.

they can go door to door legally all they want,.....no problem with me,............ the public is getting educated about them from the internet............... they are getting less and less response at the door,............. and they are getting less and less members to go door to door..... it's going to be a slow process.....but without new recruits comming in, they are going to fizzel out........... they can't even keep their own children in the cult.
just because they have freedom to go preaching we have the freedom not to listen to them.
