I agree to a point. There comes a time though, when we each have to take responsibility for our own lives. I once defended the organization too. I was in it for many years. My conscience led me out of it, because I could no longer be party to their actions. I don't advocate being unkind to any of the sincere followers of the watchtower. There are many still trapped in it who I care about. Unfortunately, they don't think as kindly of me, as I think of them.

What the the hell is this "need to remember" crap? Who the hell does this person think they are to impose THEIR perception on me as to who or what I worship, need or want?

If worshiping your Jehovah works for you...whooope-eeee! But you telling me I "need" your Jehovah? Then I have as much right to say: Pucker up and kiss my ass.

I think that when all you do is harp on the bad, the good is completely forgotten. It's the brothers and sisters who love Jehovah and choose to live by His principals that reflect what this brotherhood is all about, not outdated theology and the imperfections of a few men.
And these principles are found in the Bible...JWs didn't make them up. There are a lot of non-JW people today who believe the Bible is God's message to mankind and feel that if people lived by the principles found there, the world will be a better place. More and more I see that it is religion that divides people. A person can be spiritual and close to God without professing a religion.
I feel like you do that with the passing of time, after all we are in the 21st century now, the society will probably "loosen its grip".

Please don't give me the "how much I have suffered" bs. Many have suffered!

You're right. I take back every bad thing I said about the rank and file in the Taliban and Al Queda. They're basically wonderful, loving people. It's only their leaders who are bad. The followers do nothing wrong at all.

The Governing Body has made some bad calls, but it is very sad to see the brothers and sisters attacked and even hated because of the mistakes of a few men. I believe that the organization is on the defensive right now to save face, especially to protect the Governing Body. But the Governing Body are very elderly and I feel that in time with their passing on, the Society is going to 'loosen it's grip' over the brothers and sisters.

They were assholes when they were young, too. The only difference between the Governing Body and most people who get older is that the Governing Body became bigger assholes the older they got. By the way, they've trained a brand-new generation of assholes to take over when they pass, just as that asshole Rutherford trained those assholes Knorr and Franz.
Dream on, but all you'll see in the future are newer, younger assholes. The only way to get attention of assholes like that is to bankrupt them, and then what you'll have are assholes without any money or power. But they'll still be assholes.

That should go over well in Bethel! Too bad Joel isn't there any longer. But I have no doubt some of the Bethelites are um,.....still....um.....carrying the torch.
