If you were at the watchtower how many times did you hear this idiotic condescending word?

I think I must have heard it 500 times. The learner. The learner. The learner. This will be a new mainstay in jw terminology I fear. Sounds so stupid.

Baptized young, auxiliary pioneered, regular in field circus for 20+ years, always volunteered for KH cleaning, maintenance, mowing ( often the only one ), helped the Elderly, parked cars at every CA and DC ( hotter than hell ), also the assistant to brother in charge of all bathroom cleaning and maintainance ( HUGE JOB ), always helped at local KH with assignments, sound, accounts, literature, ect. NEVER publicly reproved. NEVER caught doing anything wrong or cover up wrongdoing, only privately reproved for approaching the Elders for help and "confessing." NEVER QUALIFIED FOR APPOINTMENT TO MS.

Meanwhile, Gonzalo Campos molests his bible studies......

I noticed this term used over and over again. It's ridiculous. A real learner will research to the nth degree to make sure what he or she is being taught will hold water; that's it's rational. Watchtower doctrine is loaded with irrational ideas and teachings.

To me the term "learner" was used in this Watchtower to refer to someone who wants to or needs to be coddled and in return wants to like boots.

The Elisha/Elijah example was dumb. Someone slaps a river with a robe and the waters part...really?? Then one dude dies in a tornado and it means that Jeehoober promoted the other guy and gave him the magic robe?? Errrr..... Ohhhhkay????!?

I have a lot of work to do before even qualifying as a "learner." Time to molest some kids!!

For personal reasons I still attend. I noticed this condescending term and made mention of it to one of the now very elderly family members for whom I still attend (for the time being).

They could not believe that the WTB&T$ would use terms like that. So I showed them the article and then asked, "I wonder why the WT$ is making another layer of class distinction among the brothers?" They were as disgusted as I.

I even told the wife (a pioneer diehard) I hope that "learners" doesn't become ingrained in jw terminology. She agreed.

Your average rank and file reads this trash and thinks it spew out of the butt in golden clouds of the gb. Truth be told it's writing department shleps who do all this. I knew them. If they had any idea who was dictating their faith and life to them ...
