Hi Farkel, being somewhat of a fan of good classical music myself (Beethoven is a favourite), what format are you going to be recording the music in? WAV, I presume? Hopefully you'll create the files in a high-quality format so we can appreciate them. Just be careful with the MP3 encoders - typically anything under 196KPBS sounds kindof strange, especially to educated ears, due to the foibles of the compression process. This doesn't make a difference for music with huge drumbeats, but for classical it can make or break the music!

You rocky Farkel! My fav is Moonlight Sonata but also like Hungarian Rhapsody #2 in C Sharp Minor by Franz Liszt and almost any by Serge Rachmaninoff. Will keep my ears ready to be entertained!

Well, most of my favorites are there, with the exception of the Mozart Piano concerti. I'll be patient.
The Appasionata (played by Van Cliburn) is one of my most-played CD's. And of course anything by Bach.
Looking forward to the premier release!

PS: I'll trade you food for it?

Farkel,
I appreciate your taste in music.
Although I hated it at the time. I was raised on classical music.
My Dad allowed nothing but classical music to be played while he was home.
Now I find comfort in it.
Never paid attention to the names of the arrangements but I can say that my favorite
all time classical piece is Tchaikovsky's 4th.
Second I think is Ravel's Bolero. *an interesting website... http://www.culturekiosque.com/klassik/news/rheravel.htm
The other composers that I really like are; Rachmaninov, Dvorak, Chopin, Borodin.

Fark,
Is that Chopin Etude in E the Opus 10? If so, I'm making my plans to download now. It has always been a moving, if simple, piece to me. Wot? No Rhapsody in Blue?
Remember back in the late 60s when Horowitz came out of retirement and played recital and it was carried on TV? I was in college then, driving between Johnson City, TN and Chattanooga, TN that night. When it got to be about ten minutes before the beginning of the program, my friend and I stopped at a house we selected at random along the highway (no interstate between those points in those days) and asked the lady who came to the door if she was planning on watching the Horowitz program. She said she was, and I - never being too shy - invited myself and my friend to watch with she and her husband.
She was a gracious lady and even served us home cooking while we watched Horowitz doing his thing. That's my favorite story from college believe it or not.
