I added my comments from the perspective of a former elder. Those that said that such things don't happen and that the story was just actors and disgruntled members, I stated, are in denial. I testified that such cases happen with some frequency and that evil people and among their members.

Oh MAN!!! I was just there reading some of the current-JW schpeeel, and it made me SICK. They are SO BLIND. Obviously Panorama hit a raw nerve, because the JW's are not only insulting the lambs and Bill Bowen, but they are also showing their true colors by insulting the reporter, the staff, the show, and the BBC itself! It is SICKENING! I'd like to shake some sense into them! "Oh, nooooooo, this would NEVER HAPPEN in OUR religion..." blah blah blah! One JW was even "dumb" enough to write how "we were WARNED about this persecution..." Such a SET-UP!
Arrrrggghh! I am so aggravated after reading their HEARTLESS & BLIND comments.
But I did add my 2-cents thanking Panorama and telling them they did a GREAT JOB and pay no mind to the JWs who have been slowly and subtly brainwashed that they can't even SEE the harsh realities of LIFE, i.e., YOUR LEADERS, yes YOURs most certainly WOULD & DO cover up!
Please! If you have not yet gone to that link to express your opinion on the show, please do it now! We can't let the JW blinded-posts outnumber ours!

I felt sick to my stomach seeing the program and add to that the next reply I got from a J.W. about screaming while being raped: ""

I sent my comments in last night. This morning they were there, along with Bill's. (they changed the way I spelled program)
I watched your programme on my computer, and am extremely impressed. Thank you for devoting your entire program to this very serious problem within the Jehovah's Witnesses religion. They are a group, who believe that this kind of thing cannot happen within their God-Protected world, and if the remote possibility were to happen, they are proud to say it is taken care of within the ranks. Thank you for exposing that they DO NOT. I am a grandmother, but as a Jehovah's witness child, I was molested by a man in our congregation. I know of at least 15 other girls he molested before FINALLY the elders believed us. You have done a great service.

I sent mine in last night as well. Among other things, I said that I applauded their staff on their excellent journalism and that NOW we have to figure out some way to air this program in the U.S.
I didn't get online until late last night (AGAIN--hubby's schedule changed-he gets home after 11:00 PM-by the time he has dinner and I get the kitchen cleaned up, etc....it's usually after midnight...and I scramble to see what's gone on during the day on here!)
I DID sit back and watch the entire Panorama, and it was ALL that it was hyped-up to be and more. I got SO angry watching Jaracz (sp?) and Brown----the turds!
I just thought of something----I don't know if anyone has ever said this before;
"The Watchtower Society's Body of Elders.......The Body with MANY A**HOLES!"
(And THIS from a sweet old GRANDMOTHER!!! :o)

I don't mean to sound offensive or anything by this, but it would have been better I think IMHO, if some could have kept thier e-mails a bit more confined to one or two paragraphs at most. As it is there has been so much space taken up with a few posts (e-mails) that there is no room left for the many posters who submitted e-mails to be included.
They only have so much space available for coments. I was a little dissapointed seeing mile long e-mails. As important as everything might be in each e-mail is it also important for viewers to see a large number of people that were touched by the program.
I hope they make room for as many more as possible. Me personally, I would like to have seen thirty or forty responses instead of ten or fifteen.
Or I guess I should say 50 or 60 instead of 20 or 30
And then again maybe I missed another page.
