No Elder will say you can not go to the authorities for this crime.
Most elders will say that, if the accused is an elder or some other leader in the Society. Even if they grudgingly admit that you can go to the authorities, most elders will also threaten you with disfellowshipping if you do.
But that's still not the point. No JW elder will tell you that you should go to the authorities. No JW elder will tell you that you should not be telling this to a gang of untrained, unqualified amateurs at the Kingdom Hall. No JW elder will volunteer the phone number for Child Protective Services. The Society's policy is to do the absolute minimum the law will currently permit them to get away with to protect the innocent from further harm and prosecute the guilty, up to and including doing nothing at all.
That's what you're defending. It's evil.

hey bleepie, guess what I did today... I picketed the JW convention. Waddya think of THAT? On the best of days, JW's are leaving the org in near hemorrhage numbers, and today my picketing partner and I helped them along a little.
My signs said:
Please Watchtower, 'don't ask don't tell' medical care for kids
and
Hugs not shunning for JW kids in trouble.
Soon, bleepie you will have the whole Kingdom Hall to yorself and YOU won't have anybody to HUG.
