That religion stinks, it was only after I was DF'd that I started the habit of taking a regular shower once a month wheter it was necessary or not.

Comforter....you can't be serious, can you? Granted, JWs are generally clean people, but I wouldn't say they're "the cleanest people on earth".

I used to believe that until I went to various conventions and seminars connected to my job as a programmer. I was surprised, to say the least, to note that all these "worldly" people were well-groomed, polite, and never threw a piece of paper anywhere. I didn't have to worry about being mugged or having anything stolen, because these were nice, honest, clean, friendly people.

    Who could have guessed?

Comforter is not in the habit of giving out his personal details on the net. Too many deranged people out there.

I do not want to shame any culture. But some cultures do not believe in deodarant or they cannot afford it. They might also be unaware of it. Trust me. Some people need somebody to tell them to use soap and dish wash liquid.

The wt contains all that good counsel on cleaning your body, home and car. No wonder you left the organization. You were not applying their counsel on hygene.

There are clean people in the world. Some worldly peeps are irritatingly neat freaks. But I like the jw balance. They are not fanatically clean but they stress cleanliness. I remember going to Bethel and observing how clean it is in that place. We jws are taught to leave the bathroom cleaner than we found it. It is not the governing body's fault, if we do not apply this loving counsel.

Comforter is being funny. The real joke is how so many people don't get it.

First of all, It doesn't say in the bible that you must brush your teeth 2 times per day or scrub those pits. These are all standards of the western world, albit clean ones. If what you are saying is that the bible helps people get a western view of cleanliness, then I tip my hat at you (actually, AlanF's hat) and laugh.

If you throw a half eaten sandwich behind the sofa, after a while it starts to go mouldy and then a strange smell starts to eminate from that location, now a person with very very low intelligence would learn from that experience not to do it again,i think they call it common sense.

Also if you never wash you also begin to give off a unpleasant smell.

Are you really trying to say that you had to learn this from a book!!!

    My kids will know better
How did you manage to have children?

I bought my house from a JW family. "Cleanest people on earth"? Not hardly. I had to scrub this place just to make it habitable. They left it filthy. Not to mention the spider webs.

I knew a few 'hovah elders that rarely showered. Can you say STANK? Just common sense told me that being stanky wouldn't get me any.

What a goofy ass post, comforter.
