OG-JW...'Stay alive, till 75...'
They are not cool. They will never be cool. They are just trying stunt after undignified stunt to appear normal to others and themselves. To me they just appear awkward, anachronistic, and sad.

Is "cool" a bell they really want to ring anyway? My warning to the GB would be "be careful what you wish for"
Once the green light is given for a more relaxed way of worship pretty soon there will be literal golden calf-style GB statues and wild debauched partying JWs all over the internet.
That would be pretty funny I spose.
I regularly meet with a young man who is still currently a JW. He is my direct contact with what the current
mindset is inside the Org. I am amazed. The GB are viewed as celebrity status. There is definite elitism connected with the entire idea of a spooky hotline between Jehovah and the gang of idiots who run the show.
Nobody dares to question anything they say.
It's very sick and definitely cultish.
@ Terry...
So JWs and the WTS have finally succumbed completely to "cult of personality" syndrome.
I suppose it's bound to happen eventually when a group like that lives as long as it has...
They are too far deep into it now, to turn around. Two years ago the current appearance of the organization would have been unthinkable to any who were there for any time in years past. They sold their soul to the golden calf of JW.org and whatever comes with it.
Only the most indoctrinated drone would actually think what WTS is doing is "cool". All this is doing is polarizing the membership further. Those that refuse to think will buy into the "cooler" message, while those that have more than two functioning brain cells will be further repelled by it.
WT will sink itself.
