What do you say to a 5 year old that asks

    So is he being primed by someone? Why does he think you should go....he's only 5, not an adult yet. The tired comment is the best I've seen.

    I was thinking of saying something to the effect that the god of the bible Jehovah is mean and use the Noah's flood and Adam and Eve as and example. Good idea bad idea???

    Some 5 year olds are precocious. My JW mother used to tell me I was insufferable about blurting out blunt statements to my school-age peers about having to go to meetings or they'd be destroyed. No one was priming me. I was just good at putting 2+2 together and coming up with pretty accurate answers about what would happen if you stopped going to meetings - or never attended at all: Jehovah would kill you at Armageddon. Kids don't know what tact is - it's a social skill learnt over the years.

    I can fully understand that kid asking his Dad why he wasn't going to meetings.
