I met you both about a year ago. I remember your ups and downs. Your fears and questions. Late night chats and e-mail filled with uncertainties. You both are inspirations to me with your courage.
I also remember your spirit and kindness this I shall never forget.

I just want to thank everyone for their support, and words of encouragement. The only one I will truly miss is the elder that called me, we were good friends, thats why they had him call me, if any other elder would have called I would have been so mean and ugly that it would have been just nasty.
Congratulations on taking a stand and defying a cult that holds people you care about hostage. That takes courage. The thing I enjoyed most and felt most immediately after I da'd myself, was choosing my own friends for their qualities, not for their religious beliefs. I wish you both all the best. I sincerely hope your loved ones still have enough personal integrity and independance of thought to stay close to you. Some of mine have, some haven't. As I said, best wishes.

It couldn't have happened to a nicer couple!! You guys are so fortunate to come out of this as a family. The mention of your son asking about christmas really pulled at my heart strings. I'm glad to know your family has come out of the clutches of this terrible cult and can now really begin a normal, healthy life.
Enjoy your freedom and in everything be wise. It's your choice to smoke but I, for one, would like to see you guys around for a very long time. (I lost my dad to lung cancer) Consider your choices wisely.

I remember my kids first X-mas & birthday, they were sooooo happy. I'm sure later on in their life they will see the hypocrite in holidays, but why deny them their childhood happiness.
I remember one day my daughter told us how bad, sad, and embarrass she felt when she had to go to another class when one of the students had a birthday party, or when she couldn't have any birthday cake or x-mas present. While she was telling us how she felt, she started crying on the spot. I felt so much like a heel for denying her the right to be a child.
Oh well, thank goodness we left while our children were still young.You guys are the real heroes.
