"I will step over your dead body at Armageddon"

when I was at their house with my children and a JW called and commented on the background noise...

    "Ive got some FRIENDS here"

    not daughter/grandchildren but friends!

"You'll have to leave because we have some witnesses coming round and they would feel uncomfortable if you were here"

Following my Nans funeral in which NOONE spoke to me or comforted me........

"Sorry you cant come back with everyone for the food after because one of the elders said that the brothers would be stumbled to see you there"

Regarding my rape which occured as a direct result of having to leave home at 15 because I didnt want to be a JW but had nowhere to live and no friends........

"Anything that happened to you when you left home, you brought on yourself. If you'd stayed a witness, it wouldnt have happened"

Plus a thousand more but no doubt you all have the same stories!

It never fails to floor me how this particular religion brings out the very worst in people. Sorry for your pain. Arent you so glad you wont be passing this virus of a religion on to others?

    Wishing you peace,

Some choice memories of my parents:

"I brought you into this world, and I can take you out!"

    Beating my brother and I.

Telling me how stupid and ugly I was.

Telling me that girls who wear certain clothing "deserve" to be raped.

All of this while Father was a MS and Mother a pioneer.

Some JW parents are plain cold toward their so-called "worldly" children, but sadly, some take the tack of heaping abusive speech on their children. Kat, of course that is the Christian approach!! What a fine example of toleration, open-mindedness and family values these narrow-minded parents present!

And WE'RE the ones that are unChristian? I don't know whether to laugh or to cry.

    Try this one:

""What do I tell your grand-mother when she is resurrected after armageddon and says "Where's Michael, where's Michael", am I going to have to say that he didn't make it?""

    Or:

You always land on your feet. If you were a little less fortunate you would have turned back to Jehovah long ago.
    Or:
Of course you will never be able to stop smoking like I did. I had help.

..and dozens more. It doesn't happen now though, the fact that I am so sure about my present situation must come across.

    Englishman.

Hey englishman...Im with you on the ressurection one........

"Dad and I have to live with the fact that you wont be there"

    NICE!!!!!!!!!

Altho in their defence, I must say that if they truly believe that there will be an Armageddon and that they're children will die, that must be tough to live with.
