  I just wanted to add a note of optimism on the occasion of Silentlambs
  disfellowshipping.

  Some of us have known about sites like these for a few years. Some
  of us used to post on the old H2O site. I can remember when it seemed
  like the Watchtower was absolutely invunerable and perfectly monolithic.
  No more!

  I can remember when long involved discussion of JW doctrine used to
  dominate the posts. That largely vanished too, as many realized that
  Watchtower doctrine is so vacuous and grossly flawed that debates
  about it can scarcely take place! I don't think Watchtower leadership
  really believe much of it anymore either.

  I remember the hoots on the internet when "God struck down" Governing
  Body member, Lloyd Barry on stage in Hawaii while denouncing apostates
  and reaching a dramatic conclusion (thud!)

  I remember when Silentlambs was ridiculed that his work would
  go nowhere outside of "Paducah".

  I remember when fast work on the internet exposed a public lie
  by the Watchtower Society on disassociating people who took blood
  - resulting in a retraction by Pellechia in a single day!

  I remember some 'loyal apostates'(!!) arguing that the Society was
  flush with cash and in no financial need. No More!

  I remember thinking to myself that Dateline would never air - No more!

  I remember thinking that the blood issue would take years to
  get rid of - maybe not!

  From small beginnings,
  a few disgruntled people typing at keyboards
  all over the world,
  victory after victory has been scored against the
  life- draining power of Watchtower parasites.

  And now, thanks to the personal sacrifice of Silentlambs,
  The leadership of the Watchtower has been exposed internationally
  as the lying, child molester protecting, sociopaths
  that they are. Who could have predicted that things would be this
  successful? That events would explode this way?
  WHY DIDN'T ALMIGHTY GOD PREVENT THIS FROM HAPPENING?

  What next? Who knows! WE'VE COME THIS FAR - THIS FAST!

  Perhaps the best is yet to come.... Congratulations, Silentlambs!

  And don't forget the UN issue, they had to cancel their membership as an NGO because of people like us.

  Apostates, using the Internet as a tool, are FORCING the WBTS to change at a rate unprecedented in their history!

  The old boys at the top are weakening - they are afraid, very afraid.

  thanks for your excellent comments, in giving a brief review

  ' bird's flying view' of all the recent issues discussend on this forum

  and other similar ones, with the " real effect and impact " that all

  these issues had finally...for the moment on the mighty WBTS Inc.

  Excellent Post - A Damn Good One - So true. Reminds me of the civil rights struggle - It's takes outside pressure to change things. Also, we have come so far, but we have so far to go.

  Of course, the loyal, Watchtower-whipped, mental gymnast religion addicts that are still in are looking at all of this as the "final sifting" before the end.

  All the things you mention are just noise in the machinery. The machine still works. It keeps cranking out its product. From an organizational viewpoint the machinery chewed up Bowen and spit him out. He will disappear into obscurity.

  The next big terrorist attack and people will forget about all of this. In fact I have been talking to a lot of JW's from accross the country as they visit for the summer and they all are reporting a surge of Bible Studies. When asked about the dateline show they say that its just a bunch of apostates exploiting the failure of some local elders.

  Nothing will make the organization fold all at once. It will be little by little. But the reality is that EVERYTIME another matter becomes exposed, JW's think. It may be way in the back of their mind, but it's there.Eventually, time will take its toll.

  I disagree. I believe that more and more elders who frequent sites like this on the internet and view programs like Dateline and Panorama and who know that the information here rings true as to what REALLY goes on in WT-land, will finally stand up and be counted.

  Already, Joe Anderson has decided to make a move in support of the Silentlambs. Joe was asked to Bethel twice and is well-loved and respected in TN as well.

  It will only take a few honesthearted Witnesses at a time coming forward with the same type of exposure of wrong policies to keep the heat on. (Letter writing campaigns from us apostates to anyone who might listen will help, too.)

  Finally, there are SO MANY victims of abuse who are courageously deciding not to keep silent any longer, that the WT will be hit where it hurts: in its pocketbook.

  Pretty soon even the dimbulbs and ostrich-like ones among the Witnesses will come to understand that the problems are NOT local, but global. And the reason this is so, is because the WORLDWIDE (unifying) POLICIES of the WT come from the top down. And the top is rotten to its very core.

  Because God can't stand them any better than we can. I am sure he is embarrassed having these people run around claiming to be his organizaton on earth.

  It may seem fast but the groundwork was laid in the early 70s by men unknown to most here. People like Richard Rawe, Chris Christensen, Joseph Reed, and many others unknown to me. Some seemed like crackpots at the time, struggling under unbelievable odds but their work in assembling the materials, gathering the forces, and exposing the doctrines and practices of the WT are behind what we now take as commonplace in this battle for truth. This in no way takes away from the work that newer ones are doing now in this struggle for truth that technology has aided in such a remarkable way. But behind all this are such men in Christ and all this can only be the work of Christ as He gathers His elect and blesses those that serve Him. This is why this work will succeed and the WT should be afraid, very afraid for they fight against our Master and King the very one whos God they only pretend to serve.
