I know how much you enjoy nature, so I took a pic of our garden on the day before the BBQ. It's not a particularly large garden so it doesn't take that much work to maintain it. Most of the flowers are petunias, niccotania and antihhrynnums, although we can get semi-tropical stuff to grow well in this part of the UK.

    Eman,

I enjoyed scrolling through your garden. It doesn't look so small to me, it is two and a half screen widths.

Thank goodness it is not on the top of a hill, then I would have to scroll up and down and that is tiring.

Beautiful, garden, well kept, but where is the wild woolley unkempt natural area that is supposed to be in English gardens?

    G'day Eman,

Mrs ozzie just saw this pic and "ooh ahh"-ed and said to tell HL that she's grown many of those varieties in her back garden too.

She thinks the two of them would get on very well together.

    Cheers, Ozzie

It's called "Nigella". Commonly known as "Love-in-a-mist". Now if you scroll to the right and take a peek at the spiky stuff, betcha don't know what that is!

    Hi E-man,

Waiting is probably working today, so I'll take it on myself to be the family representative and respond to your picture. She'll probably post soon, but we should make sure to "bttt" this so she'll see it. Btw, gardens are a favorite of mine. I have about a dozen rose bushes and a LOT of tomatoes!

Now on to my opinion of your garden:

    IT'S GORGEOUS!!!

Thanks for posting that beautiful picture

    Very nice garden Englishman!

In fact, I'm rather jealous of your lawn. I may need to steal a few turfs from it when I'm over in Blighty in the Autumn.

p.s. over here they refer to grass turfs as "sod". When you you put in a lawn you're "laying sod", or presumably "sodding". This leaves opportunities to say things at BBQ's like "I see you have some good looking sods on your lawn." Hillarious!
