Like baptism's going to stop 'em walking out the door?! Baptism is in fact one of the first steps in wanting to leave because for many it is hugely anti-climactic.
Besides, the organization has a double-whammy on its hands: Not enough young ones are wanting to get baptized and increasing numbers of otherwise good-standing JW parents do not shun their disfellowshipped children.
Little wonder regularly covered topics at meetings are getting baptized when you're a child and parents need to shun disfellowshipped kids. Sorry, brothers, but in the 21st century lectures just don't work.

Get 'em dunked as young as possible, so that if/when they learn the TATT in their late teens or early twenties, they can be DFed before they run off at the mouth.
