I'm not so sure that it is so black and white. Yes, parents need to take and accept responsibility, but were not exactly talking about clear thinking people here. I used to be angry with my own parents, especially my mother for exposing me to this terrible religion and all the baggage that goes along with it. I believe we must take into consideration the set of circumstance(s) that made our parents suscepible to being sucked into Watchtowerdom. Both of my parents, particularly my mom were victims of their own childhoods long before they were victims of the WTS. That is a huge issue with those who join as adults. I feel more angry at the WTS for taking advantage of my mom's mental/emotional makeup. But that is after all, the formula for their success. In retrospect, mom regrets not searching more deeply and not expressing her doubts and reservations when they began to surface. It took a long time for her to be able to express that to me. You cannot disregard what Celtic says about the depth of the programming being so complete and they are so emotionally disconnected from the real world, that many are just unable to respond in a normal fashion when confronted with the more serious wrongs of the organization.

    I Agree Professor.

Dia & SYN also made a good point.

Double shame on all the hypocrites who honestly believe that if the society doesnt know, God doesnt know.

That is not addressing the ROOT CAUSE of the problem.

You are correct. However, it was not my intent to do so in this post. Here I would like to show parents that they have a resposibility to protect their children and children around the world. Giving the Society money, going door to door with their message, and offering up your children to the Watchtower, all of this fuels the organization. Without any of this, the organization would not exist and these evils would not occur.

Dear Erie "shit for brains" Guy: once again you know nothing about what you are talking about. after not going to KH for more than a year.....[my choice] the elder who "ousted" a disassociated member [me], himself was D'Fd , that's right! i was told by an eye witness if this incident, while he was discussing the Kingdom Ministry one evening, he commited the fatal error of saying over the microphone that there was a "mistake in the article", and proceed to explain what the error was at length, well sweetie his days were numbered and he died shunned from his family and congregation a pitiful alcoholic mess!.......i thank Jehovah for my "rockhead" it was too thick for the Borg to penetrate it. sorry you weren't so lucky!!!!! rocky keeps rockin'!!!!!!! peace out!
