What worries the Governing Body the most?

If you were a Governing Body Member (or one of the power brokers at Bethel) what would worry you the most? I was thinking about this last night. Do you worry about the lawsuits connected with the pedophile cover-up? Do you lose sleep over the fact that many long-time JWs are leaving the fold, especially elders? Does the Internet and all the "apostate" sites give you belly aches? Is the antiquated blood issue giving you headaches? Is Bill Bowen your nightmare? What one issue is at the top of the list?

If I were a GB member, I think the decline in book study and service meeting attendance is the biggest concern. I say this because WT is a business and like any business they need customers. While a business can replace managers, it cant afford to loose customers. The same is true of the WT. If the GB hears that "X" amount of elders left the organization last year, they could count on a new crop of "managers" to step up and run the show on a local bases. However, as meeting attendance declines and the WT continues to loose "customers" whos going to buy their goods?

Or on the other hand, is the GB and the other JW power brokers so wrapped up in themselves that they are oblivious to the oncoming freight train???

Frankly, I personally feel that the GB has got its head so far up its collective ass that it doesn't worry about anything.

If you tell yourself a lie often enough, even you start believing it - even when you've got expert advice.

Remember Hitler? Remember that all his generals warned against a two-front war? Remember the warnings he got from Rommel?

Hitler was so sure of himself and, at the same time, mad, that he refused to listen to his top advisers. Likewise, I believe the GB is not really listening to its top advisers, the fifty or sixty lawyers whom they have hired.

I believe that the entire filthy, pustulous organization trembles on the brink of utter ruin.

In fact, I pray that the entire filthy, pustulous organization is trembling on the brink of utter ruin. And if I can find one teeny, tiny way I can nudge them just enough to push them over the edge, I'm gonna.

Whether or not Bethel mixes up Matlock night with Canasta Fridays or Bingo Wednesdays...

    Fran,

That's another possibility that I've been thinking. Good comparison to Hitler. I just don't see anything "new" to fend-off the new round of attacks. It's just the same old crappy articles in the KM, stating the same thing over and over.

You know what happened to Hitler....

The comparisons to Hitler are a bit off IMO. Hitler, arguably, was capable of thinking processes. I think the GB are not capable off wiping their own backsides. I bet they don't know what day it is...no joke.

Remember, most on the GB believes that "if God is for us, who can be against us?" Whatever happens, they win:

    1. Legal problems? Thats persecution!

    2. Member revolt? Thats "the love of the greater number" cooling off! Apostates!

Franz's first book COC, gives you the best look into GB actions.........who really knows what goes on in their little minds.........

    Hey ROY..LTNS!

I believe the GB is becoming a non-entity. I think since the GB were removed from any REAL position of authority (spiritual guidance? what the hell is that when you are "only mostly dead" and mostly just drool these days?) when they "restructured" a couple of years ago, that they are just a puppet up there. Theyve become like the royals in England me thinks...just sorta there because the Dubs have become so used to having the old birds there and since they are Only Mostly Dead already...just waiting for them to die off and wont replace them. Theyve already put into place the other things that will enable the corporate and political and PR types to slide right in there and run the place. And none of THEM have to be annointed, coinkydinkally. They stuck Hurd in there so nobody can say there was NEVER a minority GB member in 125 years. The younger ones on the GB are probably at the meetings in the round table room to prop up and wipe the drool off the ancients. The ones who are still relatively mobile, they send out to speak to vast crowds of the loyal...following an outline they have done 153 times so they dont screw up...or doing a Milly Vanilly on everybody. Prop em up, take out the false teeth so they gum and voila...God Visits the Multitudes in Cleveland and everybody is spiritually encouraged and uplifted for like...a nannosecond.

I think you have to be conscious to be fearful dont you? :)
