You can download this file. Its a trial version of an image optimizer....easy to use and will let you do batches as well....I got one of your images down to 80k and still be readable. Hope this helps.

My idea: everyone loves pics, so why not have some really small pics of the pages (which download quick) then when you click on the pages, it will load the basic text which is automatically obtained through OCR software which coverts the pic into straight text.
That's actually a really good idea. I know Macromedia Dreamweaver has a built in utility to do this for you automatically. If you need any help in getting a copy of that say so and I'll email you.

Okay, I've halved the size of the files by reducing the size of the images. They're still readable, and hopefully won't be as much of a prob bandwidth wise.

Yes, this is Dmouse' project; I'm afraid I may have stolen his thunder a little. However, he will be able to properly announce the intentions of the site when he's available. I jumped the gun a little to check out just what kind of bandwidth burden this would be on my site. It still seems to be within my monthly limit, esp. now with the reduced file sizes, so there's no real cause for alarm.
