Scully: I have every intention of reporting your book, but I didn't report the time this month. I'm sure the opportunity will arise shortly. That should really make them think - I haven't picked up a magazine or a book in six months, yet I placed one.
Random: You're right, I'm not regular. I'm irregular, but I was heading for inactive. Now, though, the inactive counter gets reset. In fact, if the secretary is on his toes, I could very well be regular again by February, without ever leaving the house.
Actually, I'm not sure that I should be associating with any of you Gehenna-bound ones, now that I'm back on the path to righteousness. I think I'll mark you all.

Actually, I'm more interested in the chess club. Do you guys play regularly? Is it a tournament or do they help teach your son the finer points of chess? I love chess, but I haven't played in years.

Running, I hope that when you report your time you are counting the time you spend on this board....This is reportable fieldservice time.....isn't it?

Big Tex: The chess club meets one evening per week. It is basically a casual, come and go, atmosphere. Although there is no official coaching at these meetings, there is plenty of strategizing and advising to be had.
The first meeting of the month is "match game" night, where you can challenge any rated player. The game will then be timed and recorded, and counted towards your rating. My son is rated (1394), but I'm not rated yet. At least once a month there is a tournament for a full day on Saturday.
In the spring, there is a tournament for kids. Each grade has their own tournament, with the winner for each grade representing the province at the Canadian chess challenge.
Once a year, there is a chess camp for kids. It runs for a week in August. My son went this year. Here is our web site: http://nonprofits.accesscomm.ca/rcc/
I find chess to be addictive. It is one of the most complex games in existance, and can be played at so many levels, in so many different ways. It is also a great way to meet people who are a lot like me.
NewYork: My service reports are pure fiction. I consider them to be a creative work of art. I would hate to tarnish them with actual "facts".

Not wanting to disappoint him, she put us both down for two hours.
Doesnt this just show a typal secretary's attitude. You haven't been there for months. Does he miss you as a brother? Does he care about your welfare?
No , he is just concerned about filling in neat little forms with neat little figures so he can report to the all wise Society that most of his friggin record cards have got numbers on them.
I was once a secretary but I am pleased to say that I never got to that state..... Pharisee!!

RunningMan,
Actually you ARE witnessing.
Think about how long it takes to post here.
Think about the time you spend contemplating what you're going to post.
Think about the indepth research it takes to come up with your posts.
See????
You ARE witnessing.
You're just not witnessing in favor of the WTS.
That's all.
Just minor details. You should put ALL this time on your service report.
Who knows?
You could get ahead.neyank
