I try to point out a discussion and immediately am being called a liar. I did not even say anything about Erie dude or anyone else.

Other persons have been thrown off this board for less than what Erie has said. I don't understand why Erie has such a chip on his shoulder when confronted with the Watchtower dealings.

how does the WTS plan on doing this ? are they going to print an artcle in the AWAKE or Watchtower about how "apostates" are talking about how Regi US, of which the WTS is listed as a stockholder, has naval and defense contracts? good, then according to you, we can all look forward to the WTS shedding some light on this issue,,,,,

I have been in contact with Larry since the story broke and he had requested information that would be of help to him in his fight to save his daughters life because the WT ORG. had moved in to exclude the father from interfering with the WT agenda.

I had just sent a post to channelc.org regarding an article i had requested through my federal M.P.on J.W.,s Disfellowshipping and shunning by Susan Alter Law and Government Division ,Library of Parliament , Research Branch .and received same about 9 years ago when i no longer professed to being a WT adherent.

That 17 page article of case material on c chan. points out in part states "Finally ,lest one be left with the impression that the secular courts are heartless in their firm refusal to interfere with the harsh ecclesiastical decrees, the words of Justice Hall in the HOFER decision indicate that this is not the case. He was obviously disturbed by the courts inability to grant relief to the appellants and called on legislators to take action to soften the blow churches can sometimes deal to those who leave. Thanks for the information. I am well aware of the document in the Federal library. These are difficult cases but can be done if protocols aren't followed.

I still can't get over the TV coverage on Friday. It was brutal - Larry getting on the TV like that. Man oh man did the WTS look bad.

Now, I have seen some stuff going back and forth between Erie Guy and others. This is way too of an important a thread to be screwing up. Don't get off track people.

This is where I disagree. The issue which Larry Hughes and others are confronting the Watchtower Society with is "way too important." This "thread" is not going to play a major role in the outcome of this issue.

If erieguy's threads are so important to erieguy perhaps he should have shown the same respect for other posters' threads. It's fine to disagree and debate, but it's sophmoric to come charging onto a thread with claims that posters are "LIARS," without sticking it out and backing up your claims. But like I said in this thread, and which he proves to be true, here and in every other thread, he is totally disrespectful to posters yet when someone calls him on his claims, he doesn't bother to back up his name-calling or claims. He resorts instead to the tactics a third-grader would use.

Eriefly, if you find it acceptable to CONTINUALLY and CONSISTENTLY trash other posters and issues without providing any back-up for your mouth, and then HIDE behind the irreproachable topics of "serious" newspaper articles, that you do nothing more than post, as if you should be identified with the article, so be it. I have no further concern regarding what spineless posters as yourself say or think.

I was just kinda trying to ask politely to maybe bring this matter up on this thread and not this one as I thought the news story was important and was the issue not the poster.

Thanks for your reply and i agree the issue Lawrence is pursuing is very important . He has just lost his daughter and his world has turned upside down but is determined to put up a hard fight for the faith that was delivered to the saints, and iam convinced he is not doing it in his own strength.

I have walked down that path and found Jesus words of invitation to come to him and LEARN from him,for he promised me to make my load light and i would refreshment for my soul and i have. And i feel Lawrence is embarking on a similar journey.

I have found since leaving the WT Org. that a number of ex JW,s develop a negative attitude toward those who wish put up a hard fight for the FAITH and choose to throw in the towel by statements like "Get a life " I guess if Christ took a similiar attitude where would that leave us guys and girls. Up the creek without a paddle

Instead i had decided to press on in the faith 9 years ago after reading Ray Franz,s books and visiting with Ray and his wife Cynthia in their home in the USA. Ray and many others were supportive which encouraged me to help others .And all the more so when i begin to talk to others about Rays books , well to make a long story short , low and behold i was summoned before the elder body friendly chat . After 3 friendly chats the elders the elders concluded the mtg. with their final thoughts" Do you believe this is Gods Org. YES or NO !" Now i knew for sure it was time to move on which i did and took ALL my immediate family with me because i chose to put up a HARD fight for the faith just what Lawrence is trying to do and we should him .
