I knew a single mom who was studying with witnesses. She was in bad shape financially. One day in the middle of her study the water company disconnected her water. She was embarrassed but all the study conductor(who was an elder's wife)said was "go to your mom's and take a bath and be at the meeting."So she took all three of her children to her mom's and got ready and made it to the meeting. She was hoping they would offer her some help but no one even mentioned it.The next day she went to a Baptist church and told them her problem and they paid her water bill and donated groceries for her and her children.Needless to say,she stopped studying with witnesses because of lack of christian love. They are sorely lacking in this.Get showed up by "christendom's churches"every time.

    G'day dsgal,

I think it has something to do with "looking after widows and orphans in their tribulation"(Letter of James)

Fancy the Dubs failing to live by the Bible!!!

    Cheers, Ozzie

    Enjoyed your post Dawn!

While the "churches of Christendom" may have their faults, I have found that a good many of them are trying their best to live by Jesus words at Matthew 22:37-39, "Love the Lord your God with all your heart, all your soul, and all your mind....Love your neighbor as you love your self."

    Nikita,

It's no wonder, then, that the Borg won't let the R&F near a church. They might find out that as far as what they've been told about them "it ain't necessarily so".

    Cheers, Ozzie
