Yes, 9/11 was a day that affected the world, not just America. Australia lost 10 citizens on that day, and many of us know Aussies who are living in NYC, so we were all glued to the TV and radios that day.
I hope America and its allies don't go to war with Iraq, but it does seem inevitable. Due to Australia allying itself with America, I have fears that Australia is no longer the safe country it used to be. There are concerns that there are Al-queda (sp?) cells here in Australia too. There are many Muslims living here, particularly in Sydney. And not all of them are pro-America. A friend of mine was telling me he was in a cab last year, and the Arabic cab driver was HAPPY that the WTC got hit!!! There are some real maniacs living right next to us.
