HS I really want to publish a book of my poetry. I will be looking for someone in the area to help me out. Just hope I can find her.

The 'Writers Market', published by F & W, is a good start. It can help you narrow down publishers to those especially interested in publishing poems. Canada is a strong field for publishing poetry and this book contains all the pertinent CAD publishers. Poetry competitions are always a good area to develop, most universities and book publishers run them regularly. My own first published poem was in the Atlantic Review in the late sixties and that was through a competition that led to more serious things.

Keep pushing, a publishers door will will eventually open.

I have an older version of the Writers's Market but think it might be time to update it.

In out local library they used to have a poet/author who would for free go over a manuscript and offer suggestions and point you in the direction of a publisher if she thought you were worthy and read. Hope she still does this. I will be looking for her this year. I think I have enough wotrk to make a decent sized book

I have the latest Writers Market and it is comprehensive as always. Another one I would suggest for you is: "Online Markets for Writers" How to Make Money by Selling Your Writing on the Internet, by Anthony Tedesco and Paul Tedesco. I got mine at Barnes & Noble - didn't check amazon.com to see if they have it. There's a lot of really good information in that one as well.
