(Now for a reply to your topic...)
Hey Hey Way to Go, Bill!
The U.K. is A-O.K.!
Thanks for the update, and I'm glad to see a report on how your trip is going. Sounds great so far! It's also nice to hear you have quite a bit of support over there.
It is the silent lambs fame, they are roaring, the media is listening, and WT has no comment. Great PR guys, that makes the media really think you have compassion.
You know, the public will not tolerate for long the WT's stance on refusing to deal with "worldly things" like MEDIA (well, they LOVE the media when they get big write-ups about conventions and quick builds, etc.) So for them to snub the media and refuse to comment on the SILENTLAMBS ISSUE, like you say, really really makes them look BAD BAD Leroy Brown.
I found out about a case that involved six children that was filmed by Panorama but they were not able to get it in. Again all covered up in arequired reporting country.
I would imagine if the British government hears much more of that, heads will start to roll over there. As the old commercial used to say, "It's NOT NICE to fool Mother Nature! (a/k/a The Queen Mother)."
I find it humerous when angry JW's say silentlambs has had their 15 minutes of fame, it seems they just do not get it. The issue is gaining momenteum, more and more pressure is beng brought to bear on this matter. Is our 15 minutes over? Or has it been more like 30 minutes?
Here's to much more than 15 minutes of fame! More like 24/7!!!
I was able to distribute the first sl t-shirts and bumper stickers here as I had just got them in.
Great news! We can't wait to see them! And FYI: another very nice lady from this forum ordered a bunch of lambs in BULK (about 400) and is distributing them to whoever needs them for placing at various KHalls, etc. I think all 400 have already been spoken for! Great price: $1.47 each with a little ribbon around their necks. I ordered 7-10 for the 6 KH's and 1 assembly hall in the 70-mile-radius near here.
Hope many of the UK folks can meet up with you tomorrow for the big event. Much success over there!
Best regards,
GRITS
PS to JohnnyC: A bullhorn, eh? Have you ever seen that sidekick of David Letterman's from his staff, Biff, when he goes out on the streets of New York with a bullhorn and just starts talking to strangers through it? It is SOoooooo FUNNY you will die laughing! The people walking along the street look at him like he is crazy. It is sooo funny. The best was when he called out (thru the bullhorn) to a guy leaning back on an iron fence near a park in New York. Biff hollered: "Hey YOU! YOU the Mid-Life-Crisis Guy!" LOL! (The guy was a skinny older middle-aged guy, bald on the top, with long scraggly hippie-hair on the sides.) Thought I would die laughing at the look on this fella's face.
