Ok I'm having a hard time with the 5 x 5 room size, are you telling me that all the brothers at bethel are less then 5 foot tall? I guess I would have never made it there, I'm 6' 1" .

The exact measurements weren't 5 x 5 but the room was definitely a hole-in-the-wall. Don't take things SO literally.

By the time I got to the Big House the "hooker" escapades were long gone, but I remember hearing LOTS of stories about it.

I wouldnt exaclty call them a hole in the wall. I have been in a few college dorms

and they were no worse off. Rooms in 107 were probably the worst..def small..but

i woul say they were at least 6 X 10...and you look at some of the Bethel rooms

which were not in the "home"..and those were way cool..especially for the heights.

I spent my entire Bethel life in the projects..or 107....and yes ..we did at times use

the sinks in the rooms as urinal.

I have over 13 years of Full-Time service. My brother who was at Bethel for 10 years and I would talk about what kinda' of room we could get with my seniority, for sure a room in the Towers and a nice room at Bossert. When I was there I lived in the Standish with a Big Bathroom and nice view, the sisters were so jealous. Now that I am out what will 13 years of Full-Time service get me? Hmmmmm....

at least 90 sands..but you would still be competeing against people with 20+ years..and there are plenty

of them...rememeber .."this generation" has gone on a whole lot longer than they had hoped

Hey Mike:

Yeah, man....90 Sands was the place to be when I was there. You get in there and you were living PHAT. Although, looking back on it I would have loved to have had a room off-site......out of the Towers, 124 spectrum. Brothers that I knew that had those kind of rooms would give away with having bootleg cable in there and it was great for parties...oops I mean gatherings.......

Back in the early-mid 90's there was a bar that every Bethelite would frequent, incl. my brother, up intil the dreaded morning spanking that put the lid on it. Does anyone remember the name of the bar, I mean gathering place? I would ask my brother but we have a little problem, he won't speak to me...
