Hmmmmm .... a square room, measuring 5' X 5'.

Is there a mattress manufactured that would go into that size of a room? It would have to measure 60 inches or less in length. Did you know that a conventional twin-size mattress measures 75 inches in length? That's 15 inches over the size you claim the room is!

Maybe you better retell your STORY, Blackman, except the next time try to exaggerate quite a bit less. Why should anyone believe a thing that you say ... sheesh!

blackman - loved the account and yes i do recall it so well-

ck this out just before i got to bethel back in the 80's the society changed the way they counted Full-time service

it used to be they counted ONLY BETHEL TIME, but as they started bringing in all these COs and DOs with 30+yrs you would have some dude in Cleaning with 11yrs getting a better room and better seating at gilead than some DO with 30+ yrs and THEIR WIVES WERE PISSED

well since they were heavy they could change the rules and change the rules they did so they started counting years of fulltime service

and if it was a tie the would break it with who got baptize first-

i recall this one sister - they had like 20+yrs and she put the room damn ROOM DOWN on the sheet

they lost thier nice room and ended up in a closet for a room - her husband jaws was locked and everyone was laughing their A$$ off cause she was stuck up anyway since her husband worked in the "Offices"

I too recall as a new boy the way they treated you - it is the greatest example of desire for material things you will every see-

when i was there- the Sat morning that roombid would start FOLKS WOULD RUN DOWN THE HALLS TO THE ELEVATORS TO GO SEE ROOMS

I BUDDY OF MINE got a double room some of you may have seen this room it is THE CROWN IN THE TOWERS BUILDING over looking manhattan- in the Crown there are at leasts 15-20 windows forming a circle giving you almost a 360 degree VEIW OF brookln and matthattan

anyway he got put in that room for about 6 months till the next room bid and we used to party - party party over there-

YEP i recall these sisters who would come into your room with tape measurers and video cameras to compare rooms

yes GREED AND THE DESIRE FOR MATERIAL THINGS were alive and well - yet on the outside the avg jw had no idea that deep down in our little wicked hearts we wanted that 7000, sq foot home
