Thanks so much, Ang. I read the entire thread. I am beyond words. This is wonderful. Even though I've just found out, I will try my best to attend. Chicago is not that far. I can't wait to see what Dateline does with this. I taped the last show. I also called my "undecided" niece and she watched it. We talked afterwards for hours. She was in shock. She's not so "undecided" now.

Oh how I wish I could be there! I have so much to say. I would ask the WTS in front of the world, "if it is true that you take a hard line on child molesters then why is my father-in-law in prison for molesting a child and still a JW in good standing. Why was I DFed for questioning that?" But finances do not permit this time. I will be with you all in spirit!

just to let you know i will be going along with another member of this board from the boston area. we'll be traveling via amtrak and are very eager and excited. i hope it's a good turnout and i'm so glad to hear of a dateline crew attending.

Isn't it an interesting coincidence that suddenly the Appeal Committee contacts our lawyer THIS WEEK to say they have come to the decision to "uphold the decision to disfellowship Carl and Barbara for apostasy". Our Appeal Committee had their meeting in July, and we never heard back until this week.
