    I remember that drama being delivered in the early 80s as well, in the post-Ray Franz-DFing aftermath. We used to have it on tape as part of our collection.

    Sounds like Mother is reeling in the apron strings again.

    Love, Scully

    I read on the silentlambs.org Website where Bill Bowen had been on a Radio Interview last year, and I believe he had mentioned that the year 2000 (or 2001) Assembly Drama was about Korah, and Bill said that the Drama ended up saying that if you question the Elders you are doing the same thing as Korah did.

    It is for several things:

    1) to generate more money ("hurry, hurry, get the new videotape and of course donate for it; we won't tell you but it costs us just $57 to produce though we want you to 'donate' $25 minimum);

    2) to fight against their child molestation policy having been made public;

    3) to prepare the membership for the elevation of Sam Herd eventually to the top position, Sam being the one whom they wish to use as a scapegoat for the fact that the membership will be declining post-molestation revelations.

    They will claim "membership is down because the 'world' is racially prejudiced (S Herd being black), which they feel will make themselves look better and detract attention from their upholding their molestation policy which is insane.

    My information comes second-hand from one who attended the TMS/SM last night. I was not there and did not personally hear the letter read (and did not wish to press too insistently for details)

    Gee, all these great conclusions based on such a slender reed.

    Reminds me of a certain religious organization's style.

    (what has gotten into me today?)

    I'm with og on this. Let's see what happens before we go off on too much wild speculation. Let's face it, the average KH is a hotbed of gossip. And they compensate for a lack of accuracy by adding bandwidth.

    Amnesian:

    Although its true that the purchase of these videos is on a donation basis, it is also true that the WTS keeps records of how many videos is sold to each congo. and how much $$ that congo. sent to the WWW fund. If the WT doesnt recieve most of what they spent back, they will notify the congo.....at least thats what they used to do 3-4 years ago when I was running the numbers ( I mean keeping their books!) for my cong.

    I remember a cong. in New Jersey got a letter saying that they were ordering to many specialized items and that the WT did not recieve enough from them in WWW funds.

    So the WT just sent them a bill for over 2 grand!

    So, it could be also that they need $$, I wouldnt put it past them

    Mav.-
