Being a great fan of anthropology & archeology...Who's to say "pagans", non-christian people didn't know the same God we know?....They were in-tune with nature, hunting & farming,rearing children, healing with herbs....they had different names for it, but they sure did acknowledge the Originator[s] of it's mysteries. Why all of a sudden in the 21st Century [we] know so much more about God than they did. What?!!!!!!!! What?!!!!!!!

Any sort of resinous wood has the potential to leak "proto-amber" (sap) that could become amber in a few million years. Certainly loyal Dubs would not want to do anything now that might introduce amber into the New System. I'm almost certain this is Bible-based(tm).
If the young sisters in the congregation wear amber, this may send an outward message that they are a person of moral uncertainty to the congregation. Surely it would not be a good idea for them to be stumbling the young brothers in this way.

And anyone familiar with photographic color theory - as I'm sure the spirit led members of the GB are - knows that red light and green light combine to produce yellow light. Surely the Lord mixes light in mysterious ways.
I am concerned though - GREEN is also the color of KHIDR, "the green one" of Muslim tradition, a bearer of good fortune.
