If you were told today you would die next week, would you be happy and fine with that?

Not really. I'm still working though the limited life span issue.....I really believed I was going to live forever.

Accepting that this life is the only one makes it more vital.

I hate the idea of not being around - I hate that there are a millions interesting things that I will never know.

Hell no! When death shows up at my door i intend to punch him in the face and kick and scream. Im going to load up my guns and give him both barrels.

Id be pissed the supprise was ruined. So much of life is not knowing and making things happen and taking chances. I will never want die but when it comes i want to face it with both eyes open, strong and determined, proud of who i am and where i went. I want to be regreted by my friends and enemies alike.

I don't know. That just makes me figure it's all pointless and why bother.

Not happy and fine. Just "finally, I get off this tiring, meaningless thing."

I'm in too deep of a depression right now about this clusterf* world.

If I could do Christina Aguilera as part of the "Make a Wish" thing before I died ...

Really????? Christina???? I agree that she was hot a few years ago, especially around the time that the 'Dirty' album/song came out. She always dressed slutty, but at least she was hot. Now she just looks like a worn-out slut.

I feel like I'm living from week to week with no idea what the next week will bring anymore, so I guess nothing would really change. Perhaps a sense of peace would wash over me knowing that time is up and my ending has been decided. Every day is precious consciousness.

I am an atheist and also do not have an expectation of an afterlife, etc. I pretty much live like today could be the last day so I try not to have too many loose ends (e.g. important things not done or unsaid). Probably the most important thing I would do is make sure my girlfriend is ok when I am gone. But I don't imagine my world-view changing with that knowledge.

There are a couple of quotes by Marcus Aurelius I try to keep in mind...

“Do not act as if you were going to live ten thousand years. Death hangs over you. While you live, while it is in your power, be good.”

"Live a good life. If there are gods and they are just, then they will not care how devout you have been, but will welcome you based on the virtues you have lived by. If there are gods, but unjust, then you should not want to worship them. If there are no gods, then you will be gone, but will have lived a noble life that will live on in the memories of your loved ones."

My take on an after life is:

We did not have any control on how we were born and how we are alive, all we know is the experience we are having right now,

How then can we have any control as to what happens to us when we die.

It is in God's hand to decide what happens to us, it is up to him, what we think will happen will not make a difference.

Christians believe that we will have a resurrection because of god's love for us.

Buddists believe that we will go to a better place depending one the life we live today.

    Agnostics don't know.

If there is an afterlife I don't believe i have any control of what happens to me. It is in God's hands.
