No its quite numbing. But there are a whole lot of things that don't mean anything on hearing that. Then when I was cleared there is still the same release.
so all the pathetic minute rules of being a jw then are really even more pathetic minute and meaningless.
- wearing ties and jackets
- having only shiny shoes
- not opening a window because its bro ***** "privilege"
- having to put up with others whose every line starts with "The society says.."
- meetings that go on and on and on.
- elders who think they are stand-up comedians and they are not.
- funeral services that are recruiting drives with everyone having to be told to sit down we are about to start. Because they are so devoid of social skills they cant figure that out for themselves.
In short if you didn't know it life is precious not to be wasted. To be creative to be positive to enjoy the permission given at birth to think and ponder and ask and query and laugh.
that's what its like. Not why me but what can I do to use what I have left.

We have a wonderful, beautiful grandson. (Our first grandchild). We both want to see as much of his growing up, and that of his siblings if they come along, as we can, so, no, we do not want to pop off next week thanks.
As to the question of an Afterlife, I personally think it is impossible, and the fact that no proof exists for one is kinda conclusive that one does not exist.
I wish I could live in full health for many decades, but will not do so I know, I am looking 70 in the face, and everything after that is borrowed time.
It is a pity, I have not yet reached my full potential as an annoying old git, and grumpy old man, I could be a really irritating person if I have the time to work on it.
But the Grim Reaper may get me before I achieve fame as the ultimate Victor Meldrew.
